The newest addition to 3D gaming is slowly being rolled out in the form of the cutting-edge Oculus Rift peripheral, as it was announced last week that dev-kit owners of the device will be able to test it on the flight simulation game, Strike Suit Zero.
Born Ready Games, the developers behind Strike Suit Zero, have said that it was only fitting for their game to partner with the latest in 3D gaming.
“Space was always going to be a perfect fit for Oculus, and we’re excited to bring the world of Strike Suit Zero to life with the Oculus Rift …Perhaps the biggest task for us was adapting the UI and HUD for this new version of the game – relaying all the relevant information to the player without breaking the immersion.” – James Brooksby, Born Ready Games CEO
The OR version of the game is still in its BETA state and Born Ready is encouraging players to submit feedback and suggestions in the Oculus Rift BETA area of their forums.
As you might have guessed, Strike Suit Zero is an adversarial space combat game, featuring large scale dogfights.
The game is available on Steam for $19.99, £14.99, €15.99.
Just two months ago, on June 1, Oculus Rift developer Andrew Scott Reisse was killed when a car, carrying suspected gang members, hit the 33-year old in Santa Monica, California.
