
New Summer Nintendo eShop digital content available soon!
FROM THE OLD TO THE NEW, here are some summer titles that will be available soon to download via the Nintendo eShop.
YOSHI, A 1992 GAME BOY RELEASE will be available for download in the Nintendo eShop June 12th for the Wii U virtual console. To celebrate Famicom’s 30th anniversary, the game will temporarily be available for the incredibly low price of 30 cents. Those craving some nostalgia can help Mario rescue his friend Yoshi who has been trapped in an egg. In this action/puzzle game Mario must capture a hoard of enemies which rain down from the sky before the piles get too high. The game looks and feels reminiscent to Tetris, the goal is to match two of a kind to raise your score and help Yoshi escape.
SPELUNKER, A 1983 PC game made for the ancient 8-bit Commodore computers, is now available for download in the Nintendo eShop for $4.99. Players wonder through a labyrinth of caves searching for the legendary underground pyramid and its mountain of treasures. On your journey, you will need to master your rope swinging, ladder climbing and ghost-bustering skills as well as utilize tools found within the caves.
ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW LEAF, is now available for download on the Nintendo 3DS and also for purchase in retail stores. As mayor, you can manage and build your very own town of cute and cuddly little residents. Players can customize their character, house and town to create their own unique world. The game looks just as addicting as the predecessors, with the addition of some new features which gives the player more power to customize.
TRINE 2: DIRECTOR’S CUT, will be available for download in the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U on June 27th. It will be sold at a discounted price of $9.99 only until 9 A.M. PT. This action fantasy game features physics-based elemental puzzles. You can choose between three heroes to play- a wizard, knight or thief. The game has a multiplayer mode where up to three players can venture cooperatively between online or local play. The Director’s cut features new enhancements, new campaigns, new levels and improved game play. The gorgeous graphics and smooth physics truly shine in the trailer.
MARVEL AVENGERS: BATTLE FOR EARTH, is available this week for the new price of $29.99 in the Wii U Nintendo eShop. Save Earth from the Skrull alien invasion while playing as some of the most popular marvel super heroes and villains. The game features different play modes such as campaign, versus, arcade, challenges and tournament. What makes this game unique from every other Marvel heroes game is that the player can execute attacks using their movements.
SENGOKU 3, is available for download on the Wii virtual console. This side-scrolling action game has 4 playable characters who venture through a world plagued by evil spirits. The game features a ninja gauge which allows the player to initiate several different ninja attacks against their foes. You can also use both armed and unarmed attacks to execute combos.
NINTENDO ADDS A VARIETY of new content weekly to their eShop. The Nintendo eShop is a cash based service where users can either add cash to their account via credit card or purchase a pre-paid card at a retail store. Unfortunately, card funds are none transferable and cannot be divided between two systems.
IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND E3 IN PERSON, Nintendo eShop will provide the latest news and announcements from E3, where you can even watch the upcoming Nintendo Direct presentation, trailers and interviews.
