By the time this article comes out Funcom games will have released a huge amount of information about their upcoming title with the release for the Lego Minifigures Online website and trailer.

Based on the highly popular LEGO Minifigures series, this game sees you playing as well over 100 of these figures as you explore worlds, gather more Minifigures and team up with thousands of players around the world.

One of these three really look out of place.
One of these three really look out of place.

As of the sites launch already nearly 100 different Minifigures, each showing off that characters stats, abilities as well as their bios with more characters yet to come as the game gets closer to release.

In-game your characters gain levels and abilities by collecting stars not stud (this isn’t a Travellers Tale game) which you gather destroying everything of course, it won’t be a Lego game otherwise.

The characters stats are based on which of the three classes they fall into Power, Defensive and Builder and there exactly what you think they are. Something odd is that all characters can build but the builder can build faster. Hopefully there will be some items only they can make or that will take other classes a really long time to build otherwise they may end up being slightly pointless.

You’ll be able to play the game on either your tablet or the PC and if you have both you’ll be able to connect to your profile and continue from where you left off on both.

Anyone interested in getting earlier access to the game can sign up as a beta tester in a upcoming closed beta test simply by creating a user account and if you don’t get into one now don’t worry because they’ll continue doing beta tests throughout development.
