Sega/Double Fine’s The Cave Coming Soon
Psychonauts and Brütal Legend, has teamed up with Sega to release The Cave later this month. Double Fine Productions has a history of making creative games with fun characters and witty writing. As the winner of Game Informers “Best Adventure Game” at E3 2012, The Cave appears to be keeping up this tradition.
The game will feature a roster of seven characters, each with their own individual back stories and personalities. From this lineup players will choose a team of three to delve underground into The Cave. The gameplay and narrative possibilities that come with such a versatile and interchangeable cast of characters are very interesting, to say the least.
The Cave will be available for PSN customers in North America on January 23rd and in Europe on the 24th. Xbox Live Arcade and Steam users worldwide will be able to buy the game on January 23rd. Prices for The Cave will be USD$14.99, €12.99, £9.99, AUD$19.95 or 1200 Microsoft Points. A release date for the Nintendo E-Shop will be announced soon.
