After a series of delays, Europe finally gets access to Scribblenauts Unlimited on Steam.
Created by 5th Cell, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Scribblenauts is the ultimate sandbox series that fosters near unlimited creativity, unbounded exploration, and fun social elements that create an original experience for fans of all ages.
Scribblenauts Unlimited features a huge side scrolling open world with high definition, hand drawn scenery and objects where players can help the game’s hero, Maxwell, solve robust puzzles and challenges by summoning any object they can imagine. Players also learn the backstory of Maxwell’s parents, his twin sister Lily, and how he acquired his magical notepad.
It can get a little chaotic at times…
Also included in Scribblenauts Unlimited is the new “Object Editor” which elevates the game’s creativity by allowing players to utilize the same tools as the developers to create fun and interesting new objects. The user-generated objects can then be shared with all players for use in their worlds too. Previously summoned objects and players’ own creations can be stored in Maxwell’s “magic backpack” for easy access and future use.

The people over at 5th Cell did a great job and I found myself consistently amazed at the game’s ability to conjure anything I desired. Two rules though: 1) You must be able to spell what you want correctly –go 3rd grade, and 2) No adult themes –That is what the Object Editor is for.
