2nd July 2013: An original Japanese karaoke box experience will be introduced to Wii U later this year, giving both die-hard karaoke fans and newbies the choice to privately sing with friends at home, or join the competition to become one of the greatest voices in Europe! Wii Karaoke U by Joysound is a new Karaoke application that allows the Wii U GamePad to be both a comprehensive music database and microphone, giving you the authentic features of the karaoke experience on all occasions.
From the release date onwards, the Wii Karaoke U by Joysound gives you the power to choose the tracks you want. The choice is literally in your hands, in the form of the Wii U GamePad, which becomes a catalogue on which you can browse through songs, and make a list of your own favourites. Also, the GamePad itself can be used as a microphone. Bu for people who want to emulate their favourite stars and copy those famous dance moves, the Wii U microphone and suitable USB microphones can be used.

Separately from the main karaoke mode, the application contains three additional modes which will challenge your skills by marking your performance with points when you hit the right notes! The first mode displays your score when the song is finished. This way, you can just relax and sing, if you want to learn a different song, or have a go at a new technique of singing. In the second mode, your score results are displayed in full detail through a performance analysis feature which will give you the chance to get personal and specific feedback on the good points of your singing, as well as any room for improvement. Finally, in the third mode, it gets harder as the competition gets a lot tougher as your score is included in an online ranking feature, allowing you to enter competition with fellow players from across Europe to battle it out for the highest position of being the best at singing individual tracks from the catalogue. Whether R’n’ B is more your style, or you’re better at Country, all songs the application makes available will have a leaderboard that is updated continually on the strongest performers, meaning you will have to up your game and keep improving if you want to keep your place at the top. No matter how much you acheive, there is a facility that allows you to upload a screenshot onto Miiverse to showcase your talents to others.
As you sing, your Mii characters will be getting a piece of the action on screen. Your Mii will be able to perform in a variety of musical styles, wear loads of fabulous costumes and design performance sets and playlists to construct your own personal Mii karaoke identity. If you want to change your list of songs at any time, press the History button on your Wii U GamePad. This will open up a list of all the songs you have sung before.
