Grab some popcorn and a friend as Disney attempts to take on video game movie business with their upcoming feature film ‘Wreck-It Ralph’.
Wreck-it Ralph sees the titular character hit a bump in his 8-bit life as he becomes fed up with being seen as the bad guy. Ralph decides it is time for a change of scenery as he decides to move on to greener pastures by invading over games in an attempt at gaining a little “wreck-ignition”.
“Well he’s a bad guy in this game and after 30 years of doing it he starts to feel like ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to be liked and for people playing the game to be happy to see you and the people in the game give you a pat on the back’. So that’s his crisis and decides to seek fortunes in other worlds and that has potential to upset the world order of video games” said John C. Reilly, who plays the star of the movie.
Movie goers and video game fans a-like have something to look forward to here as famous video game characters will make their silver screen debut, such as Bowser, Zangief, Dr Robotnik, Qubert, and hundreds more.
Wreck-It Ralph will also see the joining together of some of Hollywoods biggest stars such as John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Sarah Silverman and Glee’s Jane Lynch as they create a zaney cast of characters that have to be seen to be believed. The movie will also be directed by former animation director of The Simpsons and Futurama.
Anticipation awaits as we see if Disney can once and for all put an end to the trend of the lacking video game movies that have hit cinema screens time after time from other film makers.
