Guild Wars 2 Tower of Nightmares adds a new storyline and lots of new items
In the third content update for the MMO Guild Wars 2 this month, Tower of Nightmares launched this Tuesday. It adds a new storyline with a set of unique rewards for completing it. This update, with its dark environment and spooky themes, comes at a great time with Halloween later this week.
The story features the secrets of the reptilian krait, who has now built the content update’s namesake Tower of Nightmares, which is actually a weapon of untold power. It is up to players to work together to discover how to stop the krait and save the world of Tyria from destruction.
Along the way, players can expect to find unprecedented reward items, including the Antitoxin Spray, an item that can heal the user and any nearby allies of all kinds of status ailments like poison, toxins, and more. Those who finish the Guild Wars 2 Tower of Nightmares storyline will also earn a Krait Obelisk Shard, which can be used to decorate a player’s home to celebrate his or her victory over the krait.
A reminder to all players that the previous content update Blood and Madness will expire on November 11th. This update specifically features a Halloween theme, so it is available only for the season.
Guild Wars 2 is a massively multiplayer role-playing game developed by ArenaNet and published by NCSOFT.
