Delve Under the Sea With A New Puzzle Game
Developed by Artifex Mundi and published by G5 Entertainment, Abyss: the Wraiths of Eden is a new hidden object/puzzle title released today. The game is currently available for $2.99 on iPhone and for $4.99 on iPad, Mac, Google Play, Kindle Fire, and Nook until January 13th. After this introductory period, the price will be raised to $4.99 and $6.99.
Abyss: the Wraiths of Eden places the player into the role of a young woman searching for her fiancée, a famous underwater explorer who has mysteriously disappeared. As the young lady, you must follow your fiancée’s clues and descend underwater to the sunken city of Eden, which you discover is controlled by demons who wish to use your fiancée to achieve unknown ends. In order to uncover the truth and find your future husband, you will need to use your wits to survive encounters with the sea monsters, supernatural beings, and mind-boggling puzzles found at the bottom of the ocean.
Spanning 40 locations, Abyss: the Wraiths of Eden is segmented into short chapters with very little backtracking. The title features 16 hidden object scenes, 22 puzzles, fully voiced cutscenes, three difficulty levels, and an included strategy guide. Also present is a domino mini-game that the player can use when stuck in lieu of the hint button. Exactly what this game is and how it will aid the player has not yet been made clear.
The art style for Wraiths of Eden is absolutely beautiful, and its interactive and dynamic scenes appear to be much more intense and action-oriented than other hidden object games out there which feature only static backgrounds.
Abyss: the Wraits of Eden is available today, January 11, on the iTunes store, Mac App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and Nook store.
