Gearbox Software along with SEGA® Europe Ltd. announced an addition multiplayer mode for Aliens: Colonial Marines, Escape Mode. Just the name alone sounds like it would bring some tense, horrific action for those that are unfortunate enough to play as the Marines.
Escape Mode offers thrilling, fast-paced action by putting a four-player team that consists of the US Colonial Marines against another four-player team of Xenomorphs. As the name suggests, the Colonial Marines are tasked with escaping the map while being hunted down by the Xenomorph aliens, who try to take the Marines down as quickly as possible. A time limit adds to the tension and pressure that the Marines feel, and players will have to work together and utilize their abilities if they hope to survive.
The much-anticipated Aliens: Colonial Marines promises to offer immersive gameplay, filled with intense action that fans and gamers will love. In partnership with Twentieth Century Fox, Gearbox Software, the developers of Aliens: Colonial Marines, built the game in a way to give the player an authentic experience that fans will proudly consider a true addition to the ALIENS franchise. The developers laid all the cards onto the table with this one, including breathtaking graphics and jaw-dropping action, an in-depth four-player cooperative campaign mode, and an extensive multiplayer mode. Fans will recognize the recreation of iconic environments in the film while experiencing new ones exclusive to the game. Players will really get a chance to feel the suspense and fear that shrouds the ALIEN universe.
Aliens: Colonial Marines will be available on retail shelves on February 12, 2013 for the PlayStation®3, Xbox 360®, and Windows PC. The release date for the Wii U™ will be announced later in the future.
