Halo 4 Live-Action Series to Debut October 5th

Halo 4 is getting the live-action treatment in a new series called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The first episode is set to premiere on October 5th on Machinima Prime and Halo Waypoint. The series will have a total of five episodes created “by top Hollywood talent from film, television and new media.” So that’s sufficiently vague. Top Hollywood talent could mean anyone from Brad Pitt to The Situation to Nicolas Cage, although I’m betting Nicolas Cage is the only one who would be down for this. That guy will do anything and everything. If the character is confused and has a receding hairline, Cage is your man. That’s his wheelhouse. Also, what is “new media” talent? Is it the Epic Meal Time guys? Maybe the “Charlie Bit Me” kids? As long as it isn’t Fred, I think we’ll be good. I’m upset with whatever fools made that kid famous.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn will focus on the beginning of the war between the Covenant and humans. The first episode will show details of the life of cadets in the Corbulo Academy of Military Science. The clip available now shows cadets talking about cryo-sleep, which allows them to travel to faraway lands and creates a “cliffhanger” ending for Halo 3. One of the cadets is being a real creep about cryo-sleep, saying she feels like she dies when she goes through it, which inspires nothing but confidence in the other cadet. She says it with a disturbing smile on her face and a dreamy look in her eyes, which, interestingly, is exactly how I feel when I take out a troll on COD. Go to sleep, little troll.

The Halo 4 Limited Edition Game will include a 90-minute version of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, as well as exclusive footage and behind the scenes stuff.
