In Aliens: Colonial Marines, tactics will play a big key to survival whether you’re a marine or alien in multiplayer. Both sides have unique skills to help them in their hunt.
Developer Gearbox Software have released a new trailer showing the intense battles between Marines and Aliens in multiplayer, and the necessary tactics both sides have with their unique abilities to help achieve survival.
Shown in the trailer, The Aliens have the ability to camouflage on walls and ceilings, swiftly moving about tracking their prey, the unfortunate Marines. Not only that, but the special class: Boiler – has a kamikaze-like attack where it self-destructs showering marines with acid.
The Aliens can be deadly either without being close with their spitter attack, which unleashes a fury of acid spits from a long distance. Lastly saving the best to last, the special class: Crusher – is a beast of an Alien that’s resistant to most weaponry. It’s also bullet-proof crest and moves extremely fast with massive force. That is one deadly Alien!
The Marines, their best hope for survival is their guns. They can use a smoke screen that emits thick clouds of smoke to conceal positions which is very useful when in close quarter combat. When in trouble, team mates can revive each other to continue the fight. The weapon of choice when in a tight space is the shotgun, so be sure to use it if you have it.
However the M56 Smart Gun is the long range weapon of choice, which is a heavy firepower gun that has infra-red tracking, blowing Aliens to pieces. If those Aliens get too close though, the Incinerator class can scorch those Aliens to bits with its flame thrower gun.
Whichever side you choose it seems both have some deadly force behind them!
