Alright, Ben 10 fans. Are you ready? Cartoon Network in collaboration with Namco Bandai Partners UK kicked off The Alien World Record Tour this week, which will take place at various shopping centres across the UK.
The tour is set to visit 9 locations in during August and September to promote the launch of Cartoon Network’s new TV series, Ben 10: Omniverse. It will also serve as a chance for kids to get their hands on the much-anticipated Ben 10 Omniverse video game before its release on 30th November 2012.
The Ben 10 Omniverse video game is said to take players on an adventure filled with intense action. Players will be able to play as both Young Ben and Teen Ben, switch between 13 playable alien heroes, and fight on levels that pay homage to the TV series. Rook, Ben’s brand new partner, will also make an appearance in the game and will be playable during the all new two player co-op mode. Equipped with a Proto-Tool that can transform into a variety of weapons, Rook will surely bring add depth to the combat.
Those who attend the Alien World Record Tour will have an exclusive glimpse at the full playable demo. They will also be able to be a part of history as they attempt to build a giant alien out of Lego and Cobi building bricks with the largest amount of participants ever involved. The alien is expected to use of 250,000 blocks and be taller than a double-decker bus. The first bricks have already been laid down last weekend in Glasgow. As the tour moves around the UK, more and more people will add to the sculpture in a gutsy attempt to break the Guinness World Record.
And don’t think hard work goes unrewarded. Those who participate in the event will be eligible to receive a free copy of Ben 10 Alien Force on DVD if they pre-order the Ben 10: Omniverse video game from selected stores on the day.
