Rising Star Games, a UK-based publisher, has launch the official marketing campaign for the upcoming title Beyblade Evolution which will be released as a 3DS exclusive in North America and Europe this fall with the support of Nelvana Enterprises and Hasbro.
Beyblade Evolution is one piece of an ongoing campaign to rebrand Beyblade a well-known kids’ brand, the rebrand process encompasses a wide variety of mediums which include Multi-territory cross-promotion on Tv, radio, print, online, in-store tournaments and social media. The game is also being marketed at gamescom this week; and Cartoon Network began broadcasting the brand new Beyblade TV series in the US.
“We’re very excited about the launch of BEYBLADE Evolution,” said Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “There has been a two year gap since the last BEYBLADE game was launched yet the market shows no sign of waning – quite the opposite: BEYBLADE is the second biggest kids’ franchise in the world.”
Beyblade Evolution was well received at E3 and will be hitting the shelves this fall with a price of $ 29.99; a limited collector’s edition will also be available and for the additional $10 the buyer will get a Wing Pegasus 90WF BEYBLADE toy.
“Since it launched, over 200 million toys have sold worldwide and it has appeared consistently on major retailer top 10 toy lists. Coupled with the reception the game received at E3 and the support we are receiving from Nintendo, Hasbro and Nelvana, we’re confident BEYBLADE: Evolution will be a success.”
