2K Games have partnered with Top Trumps to offer a new promotion to those who pre-order Borderlands 2 from Indie game stores. They have created a strictly limited-edition 'Borderlands 2' version of the popular collectible card trading game Top Trumps. There will be only 5000 'Super-packs' available to customers who pre-order the game from Indie retailers.
The Borderlands 2 Top Trumps pack, 'Guns, Guns, Guns' will feature 30 of Borderlands 2 most outlandish weapons. It will never be available for retail and only be available to customers when pre-ordered with Borderlands 2.
Ben Lawrence, the UK PR Manager of 2K Games spoke about the promotion stating that:
“Only 5000 packs of cards will be distributed across the country and will be available on a first-come-first served basis to those who pre-order Borderlands 2. Once they’re gone, they’re gone so I’d encourage people to check with their local Indie store to see if they’re stocking the cards”… “We want to turn everyone in Vault Hunters!”
Borderlands 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed and widely popular four-player cooperative shooter-looter that allowed players to combine intense first-person mayhem with role-playing game play. Borderlands 2 will feature a host of all-new characters and skills. The game will involve imaginative, diverse new environments with new unique missions and enemies. Borderlands 2 will also include more exciting and fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before.
The Borderlands 2 story will take players to the world of Pandora to take down the notorious Handsome Jack and his corrupt Hyperion Corporation as a solo campaign or with multiplayer allowing up to four cooperative players.

Borderlands 2 will be released in the US on September 18th, and in the UK and other PAL territories on September 21st 2012.
