The record-selling Black Ops 2 is about to get a upgrade, The upcoming DLC has been given the name Cell of Duty Black ops 2 :Revolution so lets take a look at what’s in it.
Also oddly there’s no news yet of a release date for PS3 and PC since just like all of the Skyrim DLC so far it hit the Xbox 360 first.
The biggest addition to the DLC is a brand new Zombie mode called “Turned” which will let players play as the zombies themselves.
“Turned” is a four player mode where three of the players will be zombies and the other will obviously be the human and when a zombie kills a human then that zombie will be become the human.
Now while that may sound like an odd way of doing things, I’d like to point out that players can only earn points while playing as the human so survival is key and as the game goes on more zombies will most likely be added so it looks like a lot of players wishes of finally getting to play as the zombies has come true but it’ll be interesting to see if it’ll remain popular for online play.
Along with “Turned” there is also a new zombie map along with something called “Wonder Weaponry” as well as four other multiplayer maps. First off the zombie map is called “Die Rise” and will take place in a maze of crumbling skyscrapers in a destroyed Chinese City which will is also the first zombie map to feature vertical drops which if you’re not careful you’ll fall down and die while the “Wonder Weaponry” will be stronger weapons and players will be able to create things by salvaging martials.
The other four maps are called Hydro, Downhill, Mirage and Grind. Grind will take place in a skate park (get the name now) in Venice Beach of all places which will have players using and the curves and ramps as cover as the entire level is just one big skate park with no exit so the cover won’t be what Call of Duty players are used to.
Hydro on the other hand is a giant hydroelectric dam in Pakistan with a lot of bottlenecks and chokepoints yet for the first time in a Call of Duty game it will also feature an area event where a part of the facility will occasionally flood and if you’re in the area your dead. Personally I would like to see more events like these because they help the map come alive.
Downhill take place in a ski resort in the French Alps and will be perfect for both close combat fighters and long range snipers. The map itself will of course have gondolas which are always moving that players can use and if you get hit by one then you’re dead so try and watch out for the slow moving brightly coloured gondolas ok.
Finally there is Mirage which takes place in a luxury desert in the Gobi desert in China which was devastated by a sandstorm. The map itself is suited to all styles of place with plenty of open areas and sniping spots.
Along with all that players will also get the “Peacekeeper” which is a SMG that is also Call of Duty’s first ever DLC weapon. The “Peacekeeper” is a mix of the SMG and the Assault Rifle so it probably will be stronger than most others SMG’s but with a slower firing rate. I should also mention that players can also purchase the Black Ops 2 Season Pass now at a discounted price of 4000 MS points which will get them a saving of 800 MS points and they’ll get the bonus “Nuketown” zombie map as well as an exclusive in-game calling card.
Well that’s what’s coming in the new Call of Duty Black Ops 2 DLC pack and honestly I think that it offers a lot for the price so if you own Black Ops 2 then yeah I’d suggest that you download it.
