Call of Duty: Black Ops II Apocalypse DLC Announced

Activision and Treyarch recently announced the New Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC Apocalypse. This DLC will be the final DLC pack for Black Ops II and will be coming to Xbox LIve on August 27th. It will be released on the PS3 and PC at a later date. The DLC will cost 1200 Microsoft points.

Black Ops II Apocalypse comes packed with several features to expand your Call of Duty experience. The DLC includes four multiplayer maps to enhance your online play. The first map, Pod, involves navigating through stacks of residential pods and other aspects of a modernist community set in a cliff side. Another map, Frost, is an icy European city split into two sides by a bridge. Takeoff is based upon the popular Stadium map from the original Black Ops DLC First Strike. Forget the sniper rifle, this map is all about close proximity combat. The final map, Dig, is based on the Courtyard map from Call of Duty: World at War. The design allows for constant and hectic confrontations, which is bound to test your skills.

This DLC also includes Origins, a zombie story set in World War I era France. The story features the four characters from the original zombie map: Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen. Following the German discovery of “Element 115” , this storyline allows players to delve deeper into the origins of the Zombie Saga. Players are reunited with an unlikely group of soldiers brought together to defeat the greatest evil the world has ever seen. If zombies weren’t bad enough, there is also a 1,000 foot tall robot animation to watch out for. Players are equipped with an armoury unique to the time period featuring Wonder Weapons, a diesel drone, and a Mark IV tank. You will need all of these weapons if you simply want a chance at survival.
