Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies Now On Android

Get ready to play as North American Presidents starring in their own Zombie apocalypse (again) in Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, now on the Android!

From what little I knew about the zombie game-mode in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, the game consisted of fighting an endless wave of zombies while boarding yourself up in a room and acquiring new weapons and ammo with each wave. The new spin on the zombie mode was you were playing as John F. Kennedy fighting off the shambling undead trying to get into a secret bunker. You might still be in a bunker with this new installment of the zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, but now you can play anywhere if you have an Android device.

But only after 30 days, as Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is an exclusive app only to Sony’s Xperia smart phones and Xperia Play optimized devices. The game was adapted by Ideaworks Game Studio and is distributed by Glu Mobile, Inc. in partnership with Activision. Judging by the info, the game should have a similar experience to Call of Duty: Black Ops version but with more maps and multi- and single-player experience. You can shoot the horde in Kino Der Toten, Ascension, or in “Call of the Dead: Director’s Cut.” Up to four players can hop into a game via Wi-Fi, picking up new weapons and perks to improve their chance of survival. Or they can take on the “Dead-Ops Arcade,” where players have to survive 50 levels filled with shambling undead and is held up as the ultimate challenge in the game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies will also feature a cash shop system for the single-player experience using “CoD Point System.” Players can purchase new levels, increase the spawn rate of better weapons, or survive longer in this six tier in-app purchasing system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is available exclusively to Sony’s Xperia line of products for 30 days, and should then be available for any Android device.
