Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection release date announced

Yet another 3DS title is making its way to consoles

With anticipation for Lords of Shadow 2 rising, Konami announced the release date for the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow collection. The collection contains both Castlevania: Lords of Shadow as well as a HD version of the 3DS title Mirrors of Fate which is coming to consoles for the first time.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow collection is due for release November 8th for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and boosts around 40 hours of gameplay and will get players up to speed with the story so far.

For those who haven’t played the games yet, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sees you take control of Gabriel Belmont, the earliest member of the Belmont clan. His part of the Brotherhood of Light and is on a quest to slay the Lords of Shadow with the hope of resurrecting his dead wife.

The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection will also include the first chapters for the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow DLC’s “Reverie” and “Resurrection”.

Meanwhile Castlevania: Mirror of Fate has been remastered into High Definition. The game takes place 26 years after the events of Lords of Shadow and follows Gabriel’s descendants, Simon and Trevor Belmont as well as Alucard and one extra character as they all have to confront their families past.

Castlevania: Mirror of Fate will also be released by itself on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN on October 31st.

Finally along with the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Mirror of Fate, the collection also includes a demo for the upcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 giving you a chance to play as Dracula himself in what may be his final conflict.

The Castlevania: Lords of Shadow collection is due out November 8th on Xbox 360 and PS3 and is priced at £29.99.
