Cello Fortress is a game that is in my opinion revolutionary, it has four player co-op whom take control of tanks trying to destroy cannons and the cannons are controlled by another player but they don’t use a controller. They use a cello and the cello affects the cannons to destroy the tanks. Here is a quote from the website “A cellist defends a fortress by improvising on his cello. Melodies control the guns, dissonant notes activate the flamethrowers.”
If the cello has a good sensor that can actually control the cannons in a good way it will do well but should it be like the kinect it will be terrible. I hope it is good loving games and classical music it should be perfect for me so hopefully it is horrible and bad and vomit inducing.Good luck to the developers have fun to the gamers and yeah have fun everyone.
I am looking forward to this experience I almost feel as though it will be closer to an experience than a “standard game” which is not to say either is bad just different. Being a big fan of cellos and classical music I have always wanted a game like this. There are games with classical music with them and games that use music but never before (to my knowledge) has one that requires an actual gamer and a cello player ( never thought I would write that). I hope it doesn’t come across as a terrible “ooooooooooo artsy” game like Dear Esther (which is awful) I really hope it is a great game.
I have been trying very hard not to be cynical but it is difficult since so many things could wrong, the most obvious is the sensor of music to gameplay it has to be very sharp and precise. I would like to end by saying good luck to the devs should they read this and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE support this game.
Thanks for reading.
