After being on iOS for over three months, and even reaching number 1 on the Apple App Store, Contra: Evolution is now available for Android.
Contra: Evolution is a faithful remake of the 1988 NES classic featuring updated music as well as graphics powered by the Cocos2D-x engine.

While the updated soundtrack and graphics are a good thing it just wouldn’t be Contra without that hard as hell difficulty and power-ups like the Spread Shot so thankfully they are still present. Since Contra: Evolution was first released on iOS platforms, the developers have listened to player’s reactions to the game so the Android version offers tighter controls. Contra: Evolution adds replayability with a mission mode (which was also in the iOS version) that lets you redo the games seven levels in easy, normal or hard in order to earn eagle badges which let you unlock two new female characters, both armed with new weapons.
