Creators Of Capsized Reveal New platformer Game Apotheon

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – October 18th, 2012 – Today Indie developer Alientrap revealed a new game in the works with Apotheon, an upcoming 2D side-scroll platformer game set for release on Steam in early 2013.

The creators of the highly regarded game Capsized, which won both critics and gamers over with its beautiful 2D graphics, intense gameplay and fun exploration is pleased to release a first viewing of their upcoming platformer game, Apotheon.  Alientrap have been hard at work on their stylish new game for over a year, since their last release and are excited to show gamers their newest work.

Apotheon is a beautiful 2D platform action-rpg set in the ancient epoch of Greek mythology. The story revolves with Hera, the queen of Olympus, has overthrown her husband Zeus, and has taken his throne as ruler of the Gods. Now feeling pungent and sneering towards the race of mortals, she begins a deadly war to scour them from the earth.

As humanity’s very last champion, you must undergo through the land of the dead, infiltrate Mount Olympus, and end the wrath of the Gods. You must carry your sword; shield and spear through the ancient royal palaces and into the depths of the old god’s sanctuary, reclaim humanity and in hope to survive the oncoming destruction that await.

Apotheon will feature a large single player campaign in a massive open world of Mount Olympus. It will also include online multiplayer with deathmatch and team based gamemodes.  Apotheon is currently in development for Steam with an intended release in 2013.
