Farming Simulator 2013 will introduce new features, a larger map, and new locations to sell product. If the internet has taught me anything, it is that there is a dedicated community behind pretty much everything. I’m sure there is an incredibly rabid fanbase that is dying to get more farm-related details.
They’re the types of folks who swoon when anyone mentions barns, or sheep, or cows. It makes going with them to a State Fair pretty difficult, since you’re constantly having to fan them to get them back on their feet.
According to their information, “Dozens of new machines and vehicles, some of which are dedicated to the new crops in the game like potatoes and sugar beets, make their appearance alongside large and prestigious manufacturers never seen before in Farming Simulator: Case IH, Lamborghini, Grimme, and Amazon to name a few.
Finally, players can diversify animal husbandry: chicken and sheep join cows, along with several vehicles and tools to help feed and rear them.”
So it looks like you’re getting a more realistic farming experience with Farming Simulator 2013. It also looks like it will be much better than doing any actual farming. I mean, have you ever been on a farm? It’s terrible, even with the quaint clothing and the ability to slaughter living things with your bare hands. Maybe they’ll add that in an upcoming patch, although I’m hoping they’re pouring most of their money into the story behind the game, where you raise your kids and one of them wants to move to the city because they don’t want to be stuck in a small town forever, because they’ve got dreams of being a Broadway star. And as the parent, you are obligated to be the obstacle in their path as you grunt disapprovingly at their chosen career path while they scream, “Why can’t you just let me live my life!” Good stuff.
