Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII Out Now

Fly over the hostile seas with historically accurate aircraft vehicles in the rare combat flight game Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII.

Here’s a weird thing video games never touch on: We have several realistic games that put us in the shoes of some grumpy soldier skilled in killing people to, well, kill people. These grunts use grenades, assault rifles, rocket launchers, and may occasionally drive a tank through the remains of civilization to accomplish their goal. Yet there isn’t other military-based games that emphasize other fights in war, like naval base battles or even dog fights. Mad Catz seemed to have noticed this as well (yes, the developers of third-party gamepad peripherals) and has just released Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII.

Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII takes place shortly after the events of Pearl Harbor in the 1940s. During this time the United States was not wanting to get involved in World War II happening in Europe, trying to be a neutral force. Until December 7, 1941 when Imperial Japanese Navy attacked the harbor and got North America involved in the war. A single-player and multi-player option is provided in the game where players can pick from over thirty historically accurate aircrafts. You and three other buddies could participate in a cooperative mode where you try to sink another team of four’s aircraft carrier while defending your own.

There is also a Collector’s Edition for Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII that will feature a shiny flight stick. Anyone that purchases the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version will get the Saitek Pacific AV8R FlightStick to control their plane. The flight stick is inspired by similar flight sticks during this time period, complete with nose art decal kit. You can also get the exclusive DLC Reaper Corsair fighter plane when you purchased the Collector’s Edition.

Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII is available now for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. For more information on this game, visit the Damage Inc. Web site.
