Dark Souls II DLC Lost Crowns Trilogy Announced

Dark Souls II DLC Lost Crowns Trilogy

Dark Souls II DLC season pass available now; trilogy released this summer

Namco have announced that Dark Souls II will be getting three pieces of DLC. “The Lost Crowns” trilogy features Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King. Buying each chapter individual will cost you $9.99 while buying The Lost Crowns season pass will cost you $24.99.

While the DLC is available on the PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox 360, only PSN and Steam users will have the opportunity to buy the season pass at this point in time. We’ll see if that changes in the coming days.

The first chapter of the Dark Souls DLC, Crown of the Sunken King, will be available on July 22nd for the PC and Xbox 360 and July 23rd for the PlayStation 3. Namco describes it like this:

Crown of the Sunken King sends players on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned. Crown of the Sunken King features an entirely different world within the Dark Souls II universe, where stepped pyramids span a vast underground cavern. It is said that one of the ancient crowns lay buried deep within these dark caverns; but surely such a valued item cannot sit unguarded. Players that seek adversity and glory will be rewarded with a crown that holds the strength of lords from times long past.

There are no descriptions for Chapter 2: Crown of the Old Iron King, or for Chapter 3: Crown of the Ivory King, but we do have release dates. Crown of the Old Iron King will release August 26th for the PC and Xbox 360 and August 27th for the PlayStation 3. Crown of the Ivory King will launch September 23rd for the PC and Xbox 360 and September 24th for the PS3.
