
Dark Souls II PC release date announced; Dark Souls II on the PC will be available in April
We knew that Dark Souls II was releasing this coming March for the consoles, but the PC version had no release date. Until now. Namco Bandai has announced the Dark Souls II PC release date; you can play Dark Souls II for the PC on April 25th of this year.
Namco Bandai is said to be working hard on the PC version and giving it 100% effort. That’s probably the main reason why Dark Souls II will be coming out a month later on PC. For the PC version, you can expect an increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option
Not only that, but Namco Bandai is working closely with From Software. With this partnership they looking to really nail the mouse and keyboard combo.
Mathieu Piau, EMEA Marketing Director at Namco Bandai Games Europe, had this to say:
“We’re conscious of the high expectations from PC gamers and are working with From Software in ensuring that the PC version of Dark Souls II offers the best experience possible. After an amazing first opus, Dark Souls II promises an even more engaging, richer and challenging adventure that should please all gamers, regardless of their platform of choice.”
Dark Souls II is right around the corner on the consoles. Dark Souls II will be releasing for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on March 11th, in Japan March 13th, and everywhere else on March 14th. But, if you want to play on the PC, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer. Dark Souls II will be available for PC on April 25th.
