Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition Bundle
Nintendo has revealed the Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition bundle, available on the game’s May 30th launch date for Wii U, including the iconic Mario Kart ‘Spiny Shell’ reimagined as a collector’s item complete with stand. Nintendo also revealed a promotion offering money off Mario Kart 8 when Super Mario Kart is purchased for the Wii U Virtual Console, and keyring rewards for pre-ordering the latest iteration of the popular racing game.
The Spiny Shell flies straight for the player in the lead and explodes with huge blue shockwaves. It can make a huge difference in a race.
The Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition bundle draws on the illustrious and storied history of the Mario Kart franchise, containing a copy of the Mario Kart 8 software alongside a mounted replica of the series’ iconic Spiny Shell. The unique collector’s edition Spiny Shell comes complete with a black and transparent stand for displaying the unique collectible.
The bundle is available to pre-order right now from the Nintendo UK Online Store and at retailers across the country. Customers who’ve already pre-ordered the game can upgrade to the Limited Edition bundle while stocks last.
Nintendo have also revealed an added extra for customers who pre-order. Whether pre-ordering the standalone game, or the Mario Kart 8 bundle, players can claim a Mario Kart-themed keyring reward from certain retailers across the UK. For example, pre-ordering from Littlewoods or Very will get player a Golden Dash Mushroom keyring, whilst pre-ordering from an independent store, like Grainger Games, will receive a Bullet Bill keyring.
The main UK games retailer, GAME, is already offering a Wii U Super Mario Kart Racing Wheel for customers who pre-order the title.

Super Mario Kart Returns!
The other promotion announced by Nintendo was a special offer for customers who purchase Super Mario Kart when it is re-released for Wii U Virtual Console on 27th March.
A Super Nintendo classic, Super Mario Kart launched the Mario Kart franchise and achieved huge popularity and impressive reviews when it was originally released in 1992.
Super Mario Kart will cost £5.49 on its release, but as an added incentive, players who purchase Super Mario Kart will receive a £5.49 discount on Mario Kart 8 as long as they purchase it on the same console by 30th June. This basically means players can get Super Mario Kart for free!
Mario Kart 8 will be released for the Wii U on May 30th in the UK and US. alongside the Limited Edition bundle. Both are available to pre-order right now.
