Defense Zone, a tower defense strategy game by creator Artem Kotov was a huge hit on Android phones. Today an announcement was made for the release of Defense Zone 2 HD, a superior version designed with richer visuals, better designed levels and more.

Fans will be please to hear the new enhanced version contains 13 new engaging levels to test your strategic thinking, with each level designed to feel balanced yet challenging at the same time. It also features a stunning soundtrack containing 12 epic scores to add a deep atmosphere to the already intense addicting game.

Defense Zone 2 HD has also got a face lift, with beautiful backdrops finely more detailed and picturesque. The designs of both the player towers and enemy units have been redone with shadowing and detail. At its core Defense Zone hasn’t changed in any radical way, but adding elements and new features to enhance the player’s experience.

Defense Zone 2 HD also ups the weaponary range with two more turrets and an airstrike option, which can be effectively used in strategic defense combinations. As with the first Defense Zone, all weapons have different firepower, rate of fire, firing range, blast radius and price.

The game was initially developed as a superior alternative to traditional Tower Defense games with unbalanced difficulty settings and perplexed interface. Fans have appreciated Defense Zone for thinking out of the box, with required strategic thinking involved and only smart combinations of turrets could help the player win.

Defense Zone 2 HD is accessible in two different versions: Full and Light. The Full version features the 13 engaging levels with more action and strategic challenges. The Light version is free of charge and offers 3 levels. Four languages are supported: English, Russian, French and German. Defense Zone 2 HD is compatible with Android 2.3 and higher.
