Back in 2011 Nintendo fans sadly missed out on playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution the much hyped sequel to Deus Ex which is a game that fans still claim is the best game ever and Deus Ex: Invisible War the disappointing sequel.
Players who missed out on Human Revolution the first time will be able to play catch up with the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut edition which will be coming out for the Wii U and in this new video you get some insight to what’s happening behind the scenes.
As the video pointed out the DLC pack “The Missing Link” as well as the boring bonus mission Tong’s Rescue will be in the game as standard although the hasn’t been any news on if the bonus weapons and gadgets that were released as DLC will be available as well but in all honesty they don’t really make that much of a difference anyway as with the exception of the auto hacking device where pretty forgetful.
Thankfully Square Enix has been listening to fan request and the biggest example of this comes in the boss fights which for those of you who never played it where all disappointing. This was partly because they were outsourced. All of the boss fights are going to be improved by adding the ability to let the player choose how to take them on like in the rest of the game.
An example of how they changed the boss fights can be found in the Barrett fight where there’s now area to a climb up to so stealth players can get around him and hackable turrets and a completely new layout for the second boss fights.
Along with the boss fights I’m personally hoping that they’ll actually give this game some better endings because in the original version you choose your ending by (wait for it) choosing which button to press which was really disappointing.
The Wii U’s gamepad will work as Jensen’s “Neural Hub” where you guessed it you can access your inventory, maps and if you’re using the a scope you’ll be using the bottom screen to aim your sights. You’ll also be using the Wii U game pad scene for the hacking mini-game.
Besides the above the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will look better and have better AI than the other versions and developers Eidos Montreal are planning on making this the definitive version of Human Revolution. That being said we’ll have to wait till its release date which is apparently May 7th (it hasn’t been confirmed by the developers yet) to find out if that’s the case. At the moment the Director’s Cut edition is a Wii U exclusive.
