Donkey Kong Jr Arrives Among Others To The Nintendo eShop

Today on the Virtual Console for the Nintendo 3DS and others, you will find a whole roster of new games, including the classic Donkey Kong Jr.

Donkey Kong Jr is the game that depicted Mario for the first time, but not in a way you know of him now. He was in fact the bad guy, capturing Donkey Kong Jr’s dad Donkey Kong.
You must climb across vines and chains, swinging and climbing to grab the keys needed to unlock Donkey Kong from his cage.

Game Description: This is a game where speed is of the essence and high scores are up for grabs. Avoid nasty critters like Snapjaws and Nitpickets and start swinging and rack up those points. Just don’t forget the most important thing – rescue DK.

Donkey Kong Jr will set you back £4.50 for a UK only release for the 3DS.

Other games released this week include Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Demo, the sequel to Lego Batman: The Videogame, teaming up with Wonder Woman, and Superman to prevent Lex Luthor and The Joker from wrecking Gotham City.

Game Description: Whatever your age, if you’re a Batman fan you’ll love this new and original story filled with classic LEGO® videogame action and humour as players fight to put the bad guys back behind bars.

This demo is of course free, and can be found for the Nintendo 3DS.

NES Open Tournament Golf teams you up with Mario, in 3 international courses, UK, US, and Japan, with 3 game types to choose from – Stroke Play, Match Play and Tournament.

Content Description: Whether it’s Mario or Luigi you choose to play with, golfing success depends on careful tactics and advanced timing. You must set up your shot on the overhead map screen by choosing the correct club and adjusting for wind speed and direction. Then switch over to the action screen and shoot away.

This title costs £3.60 for the 3DS.

Rummikub is a puzzle game that will test your brains logic abilities. You must remove all the tiles from your rack without revealing them to the other players. The game consists of 104 numbered tiles with 2 jokers in 4 colours.

Game Description: Rummikub was created in the 1950s by Ephraim Hertzano and his children Micha and Mariana Hertzano, who later exported the game to five continents. Challenge yourself in this adaptation of a classic puzzle game.

This game costs £7.20 for the 3DS, or 800 points for DSi.

2020 SUPER BASEBALL
for WiiWare takes you to the year 2020 with games held in the Cyber Egg Stadium.

Game Description: In the Cyber Egg Stadium, the home run zone is worryingly small and the fair zone impressively wide. There is even a stop zone, which stops any ball that lands there. This all makes for a unique baseball experience, in an initially perplexing but ultimately brilliant and testing title, originally released in 1991.

This title costs 900 points from the Wii Virtual Console on the Wii Shop Channel.
