Gamescom 2012 Welcomes New Exhibitors

Gamescom, the world’s largest trade fair will be taking place in Cologne, Germany from August 15th to the 19th.

 

It offers 140,000 square metres of exhibit space, which is 15% higher than last year.

 

 

“As in previous years, following on from E3, we are now finalising the participation of further exhibitors and we will be announcing these in partnership with the German Trade Association for Interactive Entertainment Software (BIU) at our international press conference on 28th June”, commented Tim Endres, gamescom’s Project Manager.

 

This is a list so far of the newly announced companies that will fill the floor with games, and news:

  • Capcom
  • Crytek
  • Namco Bandai
  • Perfect World
  • Rondomedia
  • Sony Computer Entertainment
  • Turtle Entertainment
  • World Cyber Games

 

These will join the ones that were already confirmed, including Electronic Arts, Deep Silver/ Koch Media, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Bethesda Softworks and Bigpoint.

 

‘Gamescom is a pillar for our industry’, said Jens Uwe Intat, Senior Vice President of EA European Publishing. ‘The show is truly unique in its capacity to draw both industry and consumers to a showcase of the year’s hottest entertainment offerings and we’re looking forward to being there in force again in 2012’.

 

EA will hold their annual media briefing on Tuesday, August 14th at 4pm before the main show begins. EA will be at the main show too, showing off the latest games including FIFA 13, Medal of Honor™ Warfighter, Need for Speed™ Most Wanted, Crysis® 3, and SimCity™

 

As well as writing/proof reading for the site, I dabble in 3D modeling and music making.
