Today Sony Computer Entertainment announced a brand new Classic White version of the new model PlayStation 3 (dubbed the ‘super slim’ which went on sale in November 2012) to be bundled with the special edition of God of War: Ascension.
Launching on March 15th, The God of War: Ascension PS3 bundle will include the Classic White 500Gb PlayStation 3 ‘Super Slim’ plus a bespoke God of War: Ascension Dualshock controller, and a copy of the Special Edition of God of War: Ascension.
The God of War Special Edition itself features the latest iteration of the God of War franchise in a premium Steelbook package, an audio soundtrack, MultiPlayer Double XP Unlock, and an exclusive PS3 dynamic theme and avatar. No official word on price, but according to a Amazon UK website the bundle will set you back £249.99 or about $391 USD. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I didn’t already have a PS3 –maybe mine will mysteriously explode and I’ll have to buy a replacement; doubtful. Not to confuse the matter, but there is also a God of War: Ascension Legacy bundle on the PlayStation website for $350. This bundle includes a red super slim PS3 and the entire God of War Franchise -in case you want to start at the beginning. Problem is this bundle does not come with that impressive golden God of War Dualshock controller.
