2K Play have announced that the game GridBlock is now available for free on iOS and Android devices including Amazon’s Kindle Fire.
In GridBlock players will match coloured blocks to coloured spaces on a grid via tilting their preferred mobile device. GridBlock is a physics based puzzle game in which players will have to flip, tilt, slide and shake electro blocks into place on the GridBlock board. Blocks will slide across the playfield in groups or individually and lock into place as they come into contact with the matching space. The GridBlock board will also include a number of obstacles and bright techno inspired levels.
In GridBlock, gamers will teleport through gravity-defying levels and work though mazes in a number of unusual worlds which include “Boom Town,” “Absolute Zero” and “Shock Therapy”. The free game features two worlds for players to work through and enjoy.
The physics based game is enhanced with unique blocks that can hop like jumping beans, slide like ice, change colours and even shatter like glass. The blocks will have variations in friction, speed, combustions and energy to round out the viral puzzle experience.
Gamers who seek an extended experience in the Z-space of GridBlock will also be able to unlock the full version of the game for $2.99 or £1.50. The extended full game will feature nine unique worlds for players to discover and play through. The game includes 80 mazes and more than 20 different block types to challenfe gamers.
In GridBlock players will be able to connect to Game Centre or Game Circle to track their achievements in the game. GridBlock also includes a leader board and scoreboard feature for other players to compare and compete with each other.
GridBlock is available now for iOS and Android devices.
