Halloween Comes To The Secret World

Halloween Comes To The Secret World

Funcom today announced the first seasonal event for its modern-day MMO The Secret World. The event is now live and includes an all new storyline, new characters, and a competition for players to take part in.

For a game based on myths and legends, Halloween is The Secret World’s Christmas and Funcom has pulled out all the stops to make sure this is a seasonal event to be remembered. In the unique Halloween event players must pursue a challenging storyline that will take them back to the wondrous Stonehenge where they must face off against the Cat God himself.

Of course, Halloween would be nothing without costumes, and in The Secret World players will be able to dress up as a pretty princess, a pillaging pirate, and much more with all new in-game costumes. Funcom has also put together a special server wide Halloween competition and all who participate in the Halloween event will be rewarded with unique costumes, pets, and other prizes.

The Halloween event is part of Issue #3: The Cat God, the third content update in The Secret World’s post-launch update plan. Two previous content updates have already been added since the game’s launch in July. These updates have added new weapons, missions, areas, and new gameplay mechanics. With Issue #3 out the door, Funcom is already wrapping up Issue #4: Big Trouble in the Big Apple which will include the first raid set in a monster-ridden New York City. Funcom promises to remain fully committed to supplying fresh, exciting updates on a regular basis to The Secret World players.
