Players can own their on housing and make it their own personal hideout with this latest DLC.
SAN DIEGO – Oct. 19, 2012 – Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) today revealed the newest DLC pack for their DC Universe Online game, ‘Home Turf’ – with Heroes and Villains soon be able to have their own hideout or lair to call home, and customise it anyway they choose.
It’s the sixth downloadable content (DLC) pack for the game and will be available to download in early 2013 for PC and PlayStation 3 console. ‘Home Turf’ will be the first time players will have a home to manage, while plotting your strategies and customising backdrops and items.
“Home Turf is going to be our biggest DLC Pack to date, and add a completely new dimension to the game,” said Larry Liberty, executive producer of DC Universe Online. “The level of depth that we’re adding to the new housing system will really let DC Universe Oline players live out their heroic or villainous fantasies like never before.”
Players will have access to a huge variety of themes and unique items to tailor their home, along with conveniences and amenities – like those found in the Hall of Doom or Watchtower – in their own unique custom environment. You can also have your own battleground to fight your foes with in your own lair, for player-versus-player (PVP) use.
Besides owning your own hideout, the DLC will offer new missions and bosses to take down. Each located at four iconic locations: Stryker’s Island, Arkham Asylum, Steelworks and Ace Chemicals. Each location will offer players 10 missions to complete for ‘Marks of Triumph,’ which they can use to upgrade their lair and unlock its full potential and benefits.
“A secret lair or hideout is essential to any hero or villain, but it’s more than just a place to hang their capes. It helps complete their identity and gives them a place to train, recharge, store weapons and plan their attack strategy,” said Jens Andersen, creative director of DC Universe Online. “However, no hero or villain’s lair is safe from invasions by their enemies, and for that reason, we have introduced a new combat dimension to player housing. We will be sharing more details soon and cannot wait to hear what our players think.”
DC Universe Online Home Turf DLC pack will be free for players who are Legendary members and will be available for purchase to Free and Premium players via the PlayStation Network, the in-game Marketplace, or for PC players via the DCUniverseOnline.com website.
