Halo 4 video showcasing the UNSC weapons in action shows off new looks
The new video released on Halo Waypoint shows off the new and revamped looks of the more ‘down to earth’ UNSC weapons that will be available on Halo 4. The latest feature for you to sink your teeth into means you can listen to and see the weapons in action, with a particular favourite being the bass-filled montage that can be seen here
Aside from the epic pwn-spree collection showcasing the Halo 4 weapons for the UNSC mixed with some rubadub-dubstep-esque music, you can listen to the straight up weapon sounds here
The idea is that the UNSC weapons are more grounded and easier to relate to for new players. Don’t worry, you will still have the same old jump around and hold the fire button style of play. Another reason for the grounded nature of the UNSC weapons is to make you feel like an underdog in comparison to the other weaponry used by the Covenant and Forerunner, though from the video I doubt you will have many problems bringing people down. The weapons you see often relate to basic present day weaponry, with the odd exception used to highlight the advancements of human future-tech to fit the whole Halo feeling, after all you are dressed in a crazy suit so you would expect the weapons to follow suit. No pun intended.
In a break down of all the weapons Frank O’Connor, David Ellis and Chris King alongside some other people shared their opinions and general feelings about how the UNSC weapons handled. The breakdown of the various weapons such as the Assault Rifle and Sticky detonator were taken into account. This will provide the Halo 4 fans with some prior knowledge to the game.

I’m not sure exactly what it is, but I definitely feel like I have more control over my bullet spread when pulsing my AR starts than in past games. No doubt about it, the Assault Rifle is definitely still at its best in close quarters.
