Halo 4’s release date of November 6th is fast approaching and if you are anything like me you literally cannot wait another 2 weeks for it, so you go hunting for new information to feed the Halo hunger living within you. Well my friends, i have some Halo 4 news for you to digest and help ease your hunger. Technicolor’s Game Sound Services group has announced that their work on the highly anticipated Halo 4 is complete.
Work included sound design by the multitalented staff at Technicolor’s Olive Avenue facility in Burbank, where Mark Jasper mixed the game’s cinematics. Foley was shot at Technicolor’s facility on the Paramount lot. The Burbank team also handled voice recording in the studio and on the motion capture stage, dialogue editing, casting services, mixing international versions in 11 languages, and a wide variety of other support tasks. They’ve done a great deal of work on Halo 4’s audio and i’m guessing they got to hang around with voice actors Steve Downes and Jen Taylor who play Master Chief and Cortana in the game.
“We were thrilled to partner with 343 to help them create their game,” says Tom Hays, Technicolor’s Director of Game Sound Services. “Having a chance to work closely with this deeply professional team, and bring what we do best to such a classic franchise that we all love so much, was really an incredible opportunity.”
