Hellraiser: Revelations Avatar Collection Now Available on Xbox LIVE

Now you can dress up your avatar in a series of sadomasochistic designs based upon Clive Barker's horror films with the Hellraiser: Revelations Avatar Collection.

Normally purchasing latex outfits and/or applying human flesh as accessories to your attire is frowned upon.  Your friends might be hesitant to interact with you; the police will question where you got the fresh human meat when they catch you; and it will be a pain to keep that attire fresh for a daily trip to the grocery store when the meat rots away.  However dressing up your avatar in guts and sharp chains is perfectly fine.  We already got attire for our Xbox Live Avatars to dress in the depressing atmosphere of Limbo, so TWC Games released the wardrobe of Cenobites in the Hellraiser: Revelations Avatar Collection set.

For anyone that isn't familiar with the Hellraiser franchise, it is a series of Horror films from writer/director Clive Barker about a cursed puzzle box that leads to a dimension where Cenobites reside.  Based upon the plot of the first film, these Cenobites are a personification of angels or demons, but they dress in BDSM gear and participate in extreme, sadomasochistic rituals to find new carnal experiences.  Probably the most recognizable character from the franchise is "Pinhead" with his pale face and perpendicular needles coming away from his head.

The Hellraiser: Revelations Avatar Collection set will contain a variety of assets for you to customize your avatar with.  The set will contain branded props, men's and women's t-shirts, full costumes and the infamous Pinhead and Cenobite costumes.  Each piece could be bought individually from the range of 80 Microsoft Points ($1.00) to 320 Microsoft Points ($4.00).

The assets from the Hellraiser collection will work with many games across XBLA.  So if you want to show off your avatar's shiny new meat hooks and "I <3 Pinhead" t-shirt in the next Kinect game with your family, you could.  Just be sure to have an explanation of what "sadomasochism" means when the kids ask.
