In what can only be described as an interesting crossover, IO Interactive has released a trailer showcasing new, Deus Ex themed, DLC. IO Interactive has worked closely with Eidos Montréal to give Hitman Absolution players access to Adam Jensen’s iconic combat armor and Zenith pistol while completing contracts mode. Hitman: Absolution Deus Ex ’Zenith’ Gun
The Zenith pistol was the handgun of choice for Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution and can now be used by Agent 47 in Hitman: Absolution. The 10mm compact pistol can be equipped with a Steiner-Bisley silencer to make sure that Agent 47’s missions can be completed like a Silent Assassin.
Agent 47 looks a little ridiculous
The ‘Deus Ex Suit’ and ‘Deus Ex Zenith Gun’ add-ons will set you back 80 Microsoft Points each on the Xbox LIVE, or $1.00 each on the PlayStation Network/Windows PC.

Based on the YouTube comments it seems like a lot of people are asking why. Well, businesswise Square Enix owns both IO interactive and Eidos Montréal. The new DLC allows the parent company to promote both its games, at your expense. I’m not complaining. I love Square Enix, IO interactive, and Eidos Montréal and will blindly through my money at them. However I can see how the Deus Ex DLC breaks the immersion of the Hitman Absolution universe by introducing alien technology from the future. Agent 47 looks a little ridiculous. I wonder, will Adam Jensen be getting the iconic Hitman suit next?
