DeathStroke Announced as Playable Character in Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Warner Brothers have unveiled another playable character from Injustice: Gods Among Us’s line-up. The upcoming fighting game features a number of characters from the DC Comics Universe. Deathstroke the Terminator a famous comic mercanary will be a playable character in the game. The game is set for release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
In the trailer DeathStroke is shown using both his sword and guns against the game’s other heroes. Fans of the DC Comics will know Deathstroke as a mercenary and assassin who first appeared in the 1980s comic ‘The New Teen Titans’.
NetherRealm are developing Injustice: Gods Among Us after their success with Mortal Kombat last year. In 2008 the team also released Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe as Midway Games.Injustice: Gods Among Us was announced back in May and is said to have deep and original story. The game takes place in “a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred”. The game is set to feature a single round fighting system designed to provide a more cinematic style of play.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will feature over 20 heroes and enemies for gamers to play as. Deathstroke joins the growing list of heroes and villains from the DC Universe which include Batman, Harley Quinn, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Solomon Grundy, Nightwing, Cyborg, Green Arrow, Green Lantern and The Joker.
A Collector’s Edition of Injustice: Gods Among Us will also be available. The collector’s edition features a steelbook casing, two issues of a brand new DC comic book series and three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC Comics. The collectors edition also features a 13” statue featuring both Batman and Wonder Woman.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U next April.
