iPad Mini Is More Than Meets The Eye

The iPad Mini was recently announced by Apple and there’s been a lot of talk about whether it will be a tough contender against the Kindle Fire and the Nook. As J.P. Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz said: “Should Amazon and Google be worried? Yes, they should be worried.” Apple is definately a giant in the world of gadgets known globally, their products were a game changer and always have been ever since the first iphone. Once again they are trying to become kings of yet another digital territory taking on Amazon and Google, with it’s iPad mini.

The first thing Apple are doing to set it apart from it’s competitors is the price. “The iPad Mini, though it is priced high relative to the $200 Nexus — I don’t think (Google) ends up with much breathing room,” Gillett said. “They’re not distinctive. They don’t have the cool hardware. They don’t have the apps. What they have is low cost. And there will be people who will want that. But we just don’t think it enables the Android guys to get out of the niche they’re in now”, which is bad news for Android but good news for Apple.

However, Android will get their time in spotlight when a range of different new Nexus devices are expected to be unveiled in New York, to no doubt battle Apple’s iPad mini and even their bigger iPad. There’s no doubt that it will be a tough battle to be consumers favourite in the market and as we are fast approaching the Christmas season all brands will be going all out to gain consumers attention. “Apple is going to sell a lot of them,” Gillett said. “It will give the big iPad a run for its money as to which one gets sold more.”
