Let’s start this off with the latest title in the Mario and Donkey Kong minis series called Minis on the Move. The game is only game out of the four that will be released on the 3DS. The game takes place a year after the events of Mario and Donkey Kong Mayhem! where after a year of success the Mario Toy Company has decided to host a Mini Toy Carnival.

During the event Donkey Kong and Mario’s on/off girlfriend Pauline are now running a game arcade during the carnival. It’s to see that Pauline doesn’t hold grudges considering that Donkey Kong kidnapped her in the last game. Anyway Mario and Donkey Kong Minis on the Move will have the Mario and Donkey Kong Minis series usual game mechanics so you’ll get to see toy versions of Mario and Donkey Kong as well as use the games easy to learn Create & Share mode.
Mario and Donkey Kong Minis on the Move will be released on Nintendo eShop only from Wednesday for £8.99.
Now let’s jump consoles to the Wii U’s virtual consoles
with the first of two games coming out for it this week called Solomon’s Key which was first released on the NES. Solomon’s Key is an action puzzler game and was apparently one of the toughest challenges on the NES which is saying something considering that the NES had Ninja Gaiden and Ghosts and Goblins.
Solomon’s Key has multiple endings and will be available Wednesday on the virtual console for £3.49 so if you’ve got some points left over and what a challenge than there are worst games to spend your leftover points on.
Along with Solomon’s Key the Wii U’s virtual console will also see the re-release of Xervious which was also a NES title and will cost the same as Solomon’s Key. Xervious was one of the forefathers of the vertical-scrolling shooter genre and you’ll have to shoot enemies in the air while also bombing targets on the ground in your Solvalou fighter. Oh and along with the unique environments and secrets are also so colossal floating fortresses. Xervious will cost £3.49.
Finally coming to the virtual console on the Wii of all things is World Heroes 2 Jet which unlike the other two was first on the Neo Geo so chances are you’ve never played it because the Neo Geo was bloody expensive although it was later ported to the PlayStation 2.
Anyway World Heroes 2 Jet as you may guess from the title a fighting game and is the third game in the series. World Heroes 2 Jet has 16 fighters to choose from and the game has two modes. “World Heroes Training Mode” lets you fight against any character in the game.
The other mode is “Tournaments of Titans Mode” where you’ll fight three opponents in one day and if you beat them you’ll go to the next day where you’ll rinse and repeat. There are also four competitive game types to choose from as well and this game is the first entry in the series to have dashing and back steps. World Heroes 2 Jet will be available on Wednesday for 900 points.
