Microsoft and Xbox announced today their kick-off for the Kinect Sports Rivals World Championship
Kinect Sports Rivals World Championship will challenge gamers to improve their gameplay and get a chance to win $10,000 in cash and a trip to four possible amazing locations: Bora Bora, exploring the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, or go skiing in the Swiss Alps.
Other prizes are listed as below:
- · 2nd Place: USD $5,000
- · 3rd Place: USD $2,500
- · 4th Place: USD $1,000
- · 5th – 11th Place: USD $500 each
The championship is set to begin on April 11th in the U.K., France, and Germany( April 8th in the US, Canada, Australia, and Brazil).
Gamers will be able to challenge each other in the semi-finals online and finish live in July at San Diego Comic-Con with each finalists from their respective countries going at it for the grand prize. Players can register here.
Pre-orders are still available, but only for a limited time. More details on the rules are available at Xbox.com. Gamers can start participating in the “Preseason” of Kinect Sports Rivals to reach the top of the leaderboards. The game launches on Xbox One April 11th, 2014 in Europe and April 8th in North America, Latin American, Australia, and New Zealand.
