Konami have announced that they have chosen MO Group International as their official community management provider. Konami are known to their fans around the world as the Japanese developer and publisher of popular video game series like Castlevania, Metal Gear and Silent Hill.
Konami representative Takeshi "Hari" Minagawa, explained the companies decision commenting:
“Online social gaming has seen a significant rise in recent years, with Facebook games in particular gaining in popularity. It should come as no surprise to hear that Konami has branched out into the social gaming market.”… “More and more people are using social media to communicate. We thought it would be great to provide our players with the chance to enjoy our games online.”
MO Group International will now provide official community management services for Konami. Their tasks will include implementing effective communication strategies for both game publishers and developers. MO Group International have a history of experience in the gaming and online marketing sectors. This will enable them to deliver a combination of services to meet Konami’s needs. MO Group International will now manage all aspects of Konami’s daily community life which include forum posts, blog entries, online chat, and press releases.
MO Group International’s Head of Business Operations, Orad Elkayam also spoke about the partnership stating that:
