After a slow start to their Kickstarter project, Kung Fu Superstar releases a gameplay video to show people what the game is all about.
Kung Fu Superstar, developed by Kinesthetic Games have posted their first major update in the form of a gameplay demo, after the Kickstarter did not get off to the best of starts.
“Our Kickstarter didn’t launch with the flying start we were hoping for. Feedback from our supporters suggests we haven’t clearly conveyed how you play Kung Fu Superstar creating some confusion”
As well as this Kostas Zarifis stated that it was a difficult task to get across the scope of Kung Fu Superstar in a short pitch video. They believe that now people can see the gameplay demo, people will begin to see the potential for the game. You can watch the demo yourself over at their Kickstarter page.

Kung Fu Superstar™ is the worlds first attempt at a motion control enabled action game where the fighting will employ real martial arts techniques. Players will take on the role of aspiring martial artist Danny Cheng, an aspiring filmstar as Kung Fu Superstar will allow players to improve their own knowledge of Kung Fu, whilst taking part in dramatic choreographed fight scenes and explosive action sequences.
Kostas Sarifis had this to say about the motion controlled aspect of Kung Fu Superstar.
“Kung Fu Superstar is not a Kinect game in the same way a driving game is not a steering-wheel-peripheral game”
Kung Fu Superstar will take part across several movie sets and contain many different plots to explore alongside colourful characters to meet and will also provide players with a platform for learning real martial arts in a fun and engaging way.
Remember to head on over to their Kickstarter page if you’re interested in giving them a bit of cash to help with this project, or if you want to find out a bit more about Kung Fu Superstar, head on over to their Official Site.
