It’s the tower defence game for the hack and slasher
With the tower-defence genre having as many titles as it does, occasionally you’re going to want to try something a little different like Kuroato Media’s Fallen World.
Fallen World can best be described as a more hands on tower defence game where you are put in control of a unnamed cyborg ninja who is tasked to protect a cyborg girl because she holds the key to dismantling the machine and their mainframe network.
Now’s a good time to bring up the fact that Fallen World narrative has been inspired by the likes of Terminator and the Matrix’s films. The game’s art style is anime inspired and looks really nice.
Combat sees you hacking your way through waves of various types of robotic enemies in order to protect the girl, while also summoning soldiers of your own to help tip the tide in your favour, as well as other defences – which are all upgradable. The game has 9 stages and you can also unlock a harder difficulty setting to keep you playing.
Fallen World is available now on iOS on the App Store for $2.99 and will be available on PC through Desura on July 18th. If you are interested in Kuroato Media’s Fallen World, then here’s the official trailer.
