Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and The LEGO Group have announced that they are to make LEGO The Hobbit
The three companiesannounced today that the latest edition to the popular LEGO video game series that brings to life the legendary stories from Oscar winning film maker Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. The game will be available from spring 2014 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PC and Mac.
LEGO® The Hobbit™ is based on the first two films from the trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the new film, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug hitting screens worldwide from December the 13th. The game will take players on exciting adventures towards the Dwarven Kingdom of Erebor with companions including Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey and Thorin Oakenshield, featuring exciting quests throughout middle earth.

LEGO® The Hobbit™ gives players of all ages the chance to take on the form of thier favourite characters from the hit trilogy including Bilbo, Gandald and all of the dwarves, Thorin, Fíli, Kíli, Óin, Glóin, Dwalin, Balin Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori and Ori. Each character has it’s own special ability like Bombur for example, who can be used as a trampoline that enables his pals to ‘belly bounce’ out of danger. You can guarantee a laugh every time you play this.
Key locations from the film are featured throughout the game including Bag End, Bilbo’s hobbit-hole in Hobbiton, the treacherous High Pass over The Misty Mountains and the depths of Goblin town, Mirkwood and Rivendell. Players will find countless puzzles to solve, Treasure Quests to take part in and battles with Orcs, Trolls and other ghastly characters. They will also be able mine fior gems, loot enemies, create powerful magical items and build huge LEGO structures.
