Madden NFL 15 Release Date Confirmed

Madden NFL 15 Release Date Confirmed

EA Sports has just published the Madden NFL 15 release date.

Madden NFL 15, the next in a long line of football games from EA Sports, is available for purchase in North America on August 26 and in the UK on August 29. The game will be released for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Alongside the announcement comes a teaser trailer featuring Carolina Panthers linebacker and Defensive Player of the Year Luke Kuechly.

EA and ESPN are once again working together to allow fans to choose which player will be on the cover of the new Madden game. North American fans can watch the NFL Draft on ESPN and NFL Network on May 8 at 8pm ET for a special announcement regarding the Cover Vote.

The Madden NFL 15 release date announcement also boasts immersive defensive gameplay control and a broadcast presentation that introduces new camera angles along with dynamic pre-game and halftime features. However, the teaser trailer has yet to reveal anything. Instead, we see what we are to assume is an example of the graphics in the upcoming game.

Time will tell whether or not this is accurate as Madden games have had a reputation for falling short when it comes to visual expectations laid out by trailers.

Like previous games, last year’s Madden NFL 25 came with a number of pre-order bonuses, depending on where you buy it. Purchases made through Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and other retailers have each come with unique characters to include in the Ultimate Team and Connected Franchise modes. So far no word of pre-order perks with Madden NFL 15.

Previous Madden games have been made available on iOS and, more recently, other mobile platforms (except for the 3DS exclusive, Madden NFL Football). Many Madden games are available for the PSP and Madden NFL 13 was even available for the PS Vita. EA has yet to announce any plans for a mobile release of Madden NFL 15, naming only major consoles while continuing to exclude the Wii and Wii U.
