As mentioned before, Frozen Synapse: Collector’s Edition also comes with the RED add-on which gives players access to Riot Shield, a new unit in the game. Players will also be allowed to play cooperatively throughout the entire single player campaign as well as gain new single player content and music. The RED DLC also comes with an all new multiplayer game mode called “Upload”, three mutators (game modifiers), the infamous “Red Mode”, and a ton of other features.
“It has always been a dream of ours to see Frozen Synapse on the shelves of a retail store! Personally, I greatly look forward to touching the shiny box and endlessly boring my friends by pointing it out to them. This will be a great way for the game to reach a new audience and also an exciting *thing* for collectors of *things* to grasp and cherish,” said Mode 7’s Paul Taylor.
“Anyone who knows anything about gaming knows Frozen Synapse, knows its quality and knows it deserves every accolade it has received. The calibre and intelligence of this game is outstanding and without question it deserves to be introduced to a wider audience with a retail box edition. Mode7 have been a pleasure to work with, and we both look forward to seeing some very satisfied new players,” explained Luke Keighran of Merge Games.
If you’re a gamer that’s seeking a tactical experience, Frozen Synapse might be the game you’re looking for.
