Declassify the Mystery Around METAL GEAR SOLID V GROUND ZEROES With New “Night Mission” Gameplay Video and Exclusive Xbox Content Offering
Konami Digital Entertainment released two new videos of game play for Metal gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Due to popular demand, new details have been given about the day and night cycle in the new expansion, showing how game play can change based on environmental effects.
In the “Day Mission” video, Big Boss undertakes the “Side Ops” mission to retrieve a high-value target and uncover secret intelligence. During the day Big Boss is at a disadvantage ending in a huge battle and car chase. At night, Big Boss uses his stealth to achieve a side mission during the game, saving a POW from “Camp Omega”.
Along with the new videos Kojima Productions announced the new exclusive mission for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, “Jamais Vu”, in a throwback to the cult game Snatcher, biodroids are dropped into Camp Omega to kill and steal the identities of everyone around them. To stop them Raiden, the cyborg ninja, uses heavy weaponry to eliminate his targets.
METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES is a prologue and the first release in the METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience. METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN, which will be released after, completes the fifth chapter in the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise. Anchored in a deep story mode involving tactical espionage and double crossing, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES also expands into numerous “Side Ops” missions that branch off the story campaign and allows players to tackle new objectives independent of the main game.
Ground Zeroes, will hit retail stores on March 18th, 2014 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and cost $29.99 or via download for $19.99. For the next-gen systems the game will be available for $39.99 retail and $29.99 digital.
